Set 2. Shows very light wear as Avery had two home jerseys made up for his 8 games with Hartford. This is the jersey he wore in 3 of his 4 home games including his widely covered debut on February 14, 2009. Hartford is where Avery ended up following his NHL suspension for his 'sloppy seconds' comment. Very light wear with a few light stick marks on the front and some light burns on the sleeves. Fantastic wear overall, and may have been used during multiple seasons. Black patch sewn on left front for Brian Fishman, Manager of Communications for USA Hockey who died unexpectedly in 1999.
Scattered marks all over front and sleeves. Right sleeve has one nice repair. Front has two great repairs near the left hem and a small unrepaired cut.

LOA says Game Issued, but there is a nice board burn on the shoulder and some light wear on the sleeves. This set was made up of Ranger jerseys from 2002 and 2003 pre-seasons. No player wore 91 during the 2002 training camp and Jim Leger wore 91 for the 2003 Wolf Pack training camp. There is no evidence of a name plate change. Plate with Wolf Pack screened on sewn over Rangers. Pre-season.

Jessiman wore this jersey in three home games at the start of the 2008-09 season prior to being traded to the Nashville Predators on October 30, 2008 for a bag of rocks.
Unfairly labeled as one of the worst draft picks in NHL history, Jessiman was more a victim of outrageously unrealistic New York media hype than anything else when he fell out of favor and became expendable after a decent season in the AHL where he'd finally been able to settle into a role.
Great guy off the ice who deserved a better fate with his hometown team.
Jersey was won in the May 2012 GameWornAuctions.net auction.
