One of the more difficult HWP alternates to acquire in the hobby as this set was given away in a 'Shirts off our Backs' promotion.
Ortmeyer stuck with the New York Rangers for the duration of the 2005-2006 season so this jersey is Game Issued.

Purchased this more as a joke than anything else... In the early 2000's, there was a collector that went by 'The Messianic Garments', and then 'Kharkov Hockey' and finally 'theblockerlocker' that was offering a $1000 finders fee to anyone that could point him towards a Gennady Razin jersey.
Guy was a nut case and the laughing stock of the hobby for quite some time for offering that kind of coin for a player that pretty much no one had ever heard of.
Anyway, at one point, a Razin did show up on the market and I, along with many others I'd assume, sent him the link... to which he replied to all of us repeatedly with incredibly threatening and insulting accusations. Yep, nut job.
All that aside, the jersey shows nice wear from Razin's first pro season. Shows evidence of once having the assistant A on it. PHPA patch has also been removed from hem.
I'll part with it for, um, $1000. Ha!
