Assistant captain A sewn on under Hartford Insurance sponsor patch. Left side of the nameplate shows some removed stitching from where a 'J.' was added when Mike Taylor joined the team briefly at the tail end of the 2007-2008 season.

A 12-game stint in the AHL with the Lock Monsters was the highest level of hockey that Blue Bennefield reached during his career.
A call-up direct from the UHL, Bennefield was brought in to, well, mix it up a bit on his way to racking up over 300 PIM that season but he also chipped in a couple goals and showed that he was not just a lower league goon.
