Full Description: Lower hem on one side is littered with repairs to hold it all together. Some might claim extreme game wear but having been around a locker room, I'll tell you that it's more likely a case of getting caught in the dryer door.
Oh, and sorry folks, all those blood stains you claim to see, yeah, that's not blood. It's called rust. And, again, usually from the dryer. That's right, it's laundry wear.
Aside from that, the jersey does exhibit some nice game wear and repairs on both sleeves and the front hem.

Full Description: Nameplate sewn on. Numbers sewn on. Name in Russian. This was the first season when the Red Army/CSKA and legendary Soviet and CSKA head coach Viktor Tikhonov split up, with this jersey belonging to Viktor Tikhonov's newly established HC CSKA. Notice the penguin logo features the XK letters, which signify Hockey Club in Russian. All the jerseys prior to this season did not have the XK letters. As with most Russian jerseys, this one stunk so bad, I had to wash it.

J.T. Miller 2013-2014 Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) Alternate Jersey |
10 |
Brand: Reebok |
Material: AirKnit |
Size: 58 |
Draft Information: New York Rangers Round 1 #15 Overall 2011 NHL Entry Draft
|
Added to Collection: 2014-05-07
Previous Owners: AHL Authentic
|
Full Description: The Wolf Pack wore red alternates for three games, March 29, April 5, and April 19th when they were given away as part of a Shirt of the Back promotion.
J.T. Miller was with the NY Rangers for all but the April 5, 2014 game against the Providence Bruins.
Further, as they do with all teams, the AHL had requested a game worn Miller alternate from the team to be included in the league's AHL Authentic program.
This is the jersey that was supplied to the AHL and, purportedly, worn during warm-ups and the first period of the April 5 game. As such, the wear is negligible.

Jake Taylor 2009-2010 Edmonton Oilers (NHL) Alternate Jersey |
81 |
Brand: Rbk |
Material: Edge 2.0 |
Size: 58 |
Draft Information: New York Rangers Round 6 #177 Overall 2002 NHL Entry Draft
|
Added to Collection: 2017-11-15
Previous Owners: Meigray Group

Full Description: Jake Taylor was a big solid d-man that, personally, I think would have made it to the NHL if not for two fluke injuries in his first two pro seasons. First, he took a puck to the face in practice (from coach Ryan McGill) that fractured his orbital bone and wiped out a good chunk of his rookie season.
The following season, Dan Carcillo sucker punched him and broke his face...again, forcing him to, temporarily, play a less physical game.
Then in his third season, he got hurt in training camp. I can not recall the exact circumstances, but it was equally fluky and unfortunate. He returned at the end of January and then blew out his shoulder at the start of March in a fight with Louis Robitaille -- season over.
By his fourth season, no longer eyed as a prospect, he was supplanted in the NYR depth chart by the likes of Marc Staal, Dan Girardi, and Michael Sauer so a change of scenery was much needed.
His first season under the Edmonton Oilers umbrella was interupted early with a knee injury that kept him out for all but 28 games. Shame, too, as he had impressed during the Oilers training camp.
This jersey is from the 2009 pre-season where Taylor played one game in the blue jersey -- September 16, 2009 against the Islanders. He was subsequently assigned to Springfield 5 days layer and remained in the AHL all season.
He never did reach the NHL during the regular season but, man, what a great guy off the ice too. Humble. Truly humble...and I cant say that about too may of the guys Ive photographed during my years working in Hartford.
