Upon Jozef Balej's arrival in late March of 2004, the Hartford Civic Center crowd would be electirified each time the newly acquired number 15 carried the puck across the blue line.
His speed and finishing skill, not to mention his off-ice Euro style, were something rarely encountered in Hartford as he lit it up with 20 points in 21 games.

Worn in pre-season. Nycholat was never called-up to the Capitals during the regular season after being injured while playing for the Hershey Bears.
Later in season, when the Caps acquired Dave Hannan, he took number 23 and Nycholat was assigned number 36 and number 38.
