Lower hem on one side is littered with repairs to hold it all together. Some might claim extreme game wear but having been around a locker room, I'll tell you that it's more likely a case of getting caught in the dryer door.
Oh, and sorry folks, all those blood stains you claim to see, yeah, that's not blood. It's called rust. And, again, usually from the dryer. That's right, it's laundry wear.
Aside from that, the jersey does exhibit some nice game wear and repairs on both sleeves and the front hem.

Set 1. Name sewn directly on. Heavy wear with a stick marks everywhere, board burns, and holes. One large repair on the right sleeve. Assistant captain's 'A' glued on. The plunging neck line is unique to this set of home navy jerseys. Also of note, beginning in the 2003-04 season, teams began wearing their dark jerseys at home. Photomatched.

Gaulin played 22 games up with the Nordiques which were a difficult line-up to crack with three Stastny brothers, Michel Goulet, Wilf Paiement, and Dale Hunter making up the top six forwards.
The wear is tremendous and consists of many stick and slash marks, loads of board burns and paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and team repair work pretty much throughout.
As with most Nordique related jerseys from this era, the screened on numbers have lost the battle against time.

You can see the impression of a Ling nameplate as well as a longer name as well.
Ling was the last active player with ties to the Quebec Nordiques who drafted him in 1993. He was still playing pro hockey through the 2017-18 season.
