Decent wear. Received the jersey un-washed as it was covered with dried champagne stains (presumably from the post-game celebration) and what DTG would have accurately described as "general filth". And the smell? Well, you can imagine.
Purists may be horrified to hear that I've since washed the jersey. Sorry -- it would have started growing mold.

Set 2. Shows very light wear as Avery had two home jerseys made up for his 8 games with Hartford. This is the jersey he wore in 3 of his 4 home games including his widely covered debut on February 14, 2009. Hartford is where Avery ended up following his NHL suspension for his 'sloppy seconds' comment. Very light wear with a few light stick marks on the front and some light burns on the sleeves. Gaulin played 22 games up with the Nordiques which were a difficult line-up to crack with three Stastny brothers, Michel Goulet, Wilf Paiement, and Dale Hunter making up the top six forwards.
The wear is tremendous and consists of many stick and slash marks, loads of board burns and paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and team repair work pretty much throughout.
As with most Nordique related jerseys from this era, the screened on numbers have lost the battle against time.

Aliu played one game for the Barons (on loan from the Bakersfield Condors) at the tail end of the 2014-2015 season.
Poor guy got a rough start from the get-go in juniors standing up for himself and was never able to shake the reputation he was unfairly labelled with. Odd how in a game like hockey, you can get blackballed for standing up for yourself.
Had Aliu not ended up on a team with Steve Downie, you know, the guy now well known for his unnecessary aggressive behaviour and suspensions to prove it, Aliu would be a top-6 forward in the NHL.
