Full Description: The Beast were such a late addition to the 1997-98 schedule that their game jerseys weren't ready for the start of the season.
As a result, they wore these white jerseys for their first seven games as well as during the pre-season.
(Side Note: The Hartford Wolf Pack did something similar for the same reasons in 1997.)

Matt Zaba 2001-2002 Vancouver Giants (WHL) Road Jersey |
30 |
Brand: Nike |
Material: Knit |
Size: 58G |
Draft Information: Los Angeles Kings Round 8 #231 Overall 2003 NHL Entry Draft
|
Added to Collection: 2015-02-08
Previous Owners: Jay Ruggiero, Joe Bettinelli
|
Full Description: This is an inaugural season Giants jersey with name sewn directly on. Most Giants jerseys from the first season had generic block letter nameplates sewn over afterwards as the original lettering was difficult to read. Not this one.
Zaba was on Vancouver's PPL in 2001 but opted instead for the NCAA route so he never actually took the ice in a regular season game for the Giants.
Oddly, there is noticeable goaltender wear and post paint across the back numbers.
There is also a team LOA -- not that that's worth the paper it's printed on.

Full Description: Legendary minor league enforcer, Trevor Senn logged 507 PIMs during the 95-96 ECHL season with the Richmond Renegades. Over his pro career, he logged 3993 penalty minutes plus another 483 penalty minutes in the playoffs. I believe that puts him 7th, all time, in pro hockey.
That tops guys like Andy Bezeau and makes contemporaries like Jon Mirasty look like a Lady Byng candidate. Search him up on YouTube -- dude could throw hands.
He was a solid player too -- not just an enforcer. And he was only 5-9, 180lbs?! Don't see guys like him these days.
Here's a shot of Senn wearing this 5th season alternate jersey in a bout with Brad Both of the Richmond Riverdogs during the 03-04 UHL season.
