Set 2. Decent wear with pilling and small tears throughout. Reinforced and shortened fightstrap. Taylor may not be really well known for dropping the gloves but he still packs on the PIM's. Assistant captain A sewn on under Hartford Insurance sponsor patch. Left side of the nameplate shows some removed stitching from where a 'J.' was added when Mike Taylor joined the team briefly at the tail end of the 2007-2008 season.

Worn on Oct 20, 2001 at St. Louis. 1G
Worn on Oct 23, 2001 at Atlanta.
Pens also wore this set for 4 pre-season games but I'm not sure if Straka dressed for all of them.
Straka broke his leg on November 1, 2001. Returned February 27, 2002 and broke his orbital bone on his second shift. Returned Marth 7th...and broke the same leg again. 13 games played the entire season. Ouch.

Four time FPHL Defenseman of the Year. Top ten all time in points...and averaged over a point per game as a defenseman.
Sleeve numbers are sublimated, back numbers are sewn, as is the nameplate. Shoulder and front crest are embroidered.
Lighter wear with just a few marks...but Powell is one of the most efficient players I've ever seen on defense. Seemingly does almost nothing...but always putting up points. That's high praise.
